I Saw a Purple Cow

Have you every seen a purple cow? We did today and ate him! Check out this poem on our Poem section of the blog.
We made a purple cow (with ice cream and grape juice) and then ate him!! All agreed he was yummy!

About Me

Meet Queen Hicks: The Queen has been teaching for 31 years. 26 of those years have been in kindergarten at our school. Wow! She has been married to the King for more than 26 years. Another wow! There is also 1 bird that keeps her company when the king is busy during tax season. At home, her enjoyments are reading, bike riding, water skiing, yoga Soduku puzzles and traveling. She is very passionate about teaching and her favorite part of the day is being with the children. That's why she looks so young!

Campbell Soup Labels

Remember to save and send in your Campbell soup labels. The winning class every other month will get a prize, a trophy and 1500 points to spend from the Labels for Education catalogueWow!!

Our class won the first Campbell Soup monthly contest and the Queen got to go shopping! I was able to purchase some math and science materials. Keep up the good work and sending in those labels. We LOVE new materials for our class

Meet Coach Dudjak

Every other Wednesday (usually on Early Release) we will have P.E. with the Coach. Make sure your child is dressed for exercise, especially wearing appropriate footwear.

Meet Miss Rochelle Mills, our intern from FSCJ. Miss Mills is a graduate of public schools in Jacksonville and is raising an adorable 3 year old daughter here. She is patient, calm and has an unflappable attitude. Our Junior Queen, as we like to call her, is a true asset to our class

Friday was our Student Council USA day. We celebrated by making red, white and blue hats and marching to patriotic music. It was awesome to participate and watch love of our very special country

February Giving

Student Council is sponsoring a project for February. Students are asked to bring in art supplies this week for the patients at Wolfson Children's Hospital. They can bring in: markers, crayons, colored pencils, glue, glue sticks, paper, construction paper or any other art materials. All supplies need to be brought in by Friday, February 18.Thanks for showing love this month to others!

... Yes, it's true. The royal year is coming to an end.

Our Final Events of the Year

June 7 --
Please help us celebrate our fabulous learning and growth on June 7 with the Royal Event. We will begin at 11:30 with the Royal Awards proceed to some jousting and games, then finish off with the Royal Feast. It should be a regal occasion!!!!!!!

June 11 --
The last day of the year with the Queen. Wel will have an 11:30 dismissal. You may pick up your child's report card anytime that morning. The Queen will provide the hankies too.

The Queen went to CiCi's Pizza last Tuesday night and won a pizza party for our class! Thanks to our fabulous PTA for providing such fun nights for our school. Next time the Queen is there let's all meet and have pizza together! What's not to love? The Royal Subjects, the PTA and Pizza!
