Oh, lovely mud!!

This week we are reading the story, Mrs. Wishy Washy. One of the children's favorite activities is to act it out. And here they are!

"Oh, lovely mud," said the cow and he jumped in it.

"Oh, lovely mud," said the pig and he rolled in it.

"Oh, lovely mud," said the duck and he paddled in it.

Along came Mrs. Wishy Washy. "Just LOOK at you!" she screamed.

"In the tub you go."

In went the pig. Wishy Washy, Wishy Washy.

In went the duck Wishy Washy Wishy Washy.
 In went the cow. Wishy Washy Wishy Washy
"That's better," said Mrs.Wishy Washy.

Away went the cow.
Away went the pig.
Away went the duck.
"Oh, lovely mud!" they said.

And it's such a great story that everyone got to be in the act!

Plants! Plants! Plants!

First plant we found was right outside our door!

This week we began our unit of study on plants. We read A Seed is a Promise to start us off and went looking on our playground for different things we could find out about plants. And being budding scientists we observed nature carefully. Of course, using the scientific tool of magnifying glasses made us more intent in our observations, as well as was just a lot of fun!!
